The Rapture and Worldwide Tribulation

The Rapture of the Church. When the world becomes more evil, it will be ripe for judgment. Presently, God waits for all to turn to Jesus Christ as Savior. Now is the chance to be saved!

For those who trust Christ, a miracle will be announced by a shout ... and the [sound of the] trumpet of God [1 Thessalonians 4:16]. All of our departed relatives who have trusted in Christ, that is, the dead in Christ, [they] shall rise first ahead of us. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord (v. 17).

Sudden Destruction! The Bible tells us this terrible period is the day of the Lord and it will come just like a thief in the night [5:2]. This seven year period of Tribulation will come upon earth’s population like birth pangs upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape [v. 3]. What else happens during this time?
• God’s wrath falls upon the world
• People hide in caves for safety
• People die with heart failure from fear
• Terrible earthquakes follow
• Asteroids impact earth
• People die of starvation
• People die of plagues
• People will worship demons
• Immorality will explode
• Antichrist will be worshiped
• All ocean life dies
• The atmosphere is polluted

Big Brother! The world ruler during the Tribulation will be the Antichrist. He will be controlled by Satan [Revelation 13:2] who works miracles through him. The world will be fascinated by the Antichrist’s power. In fact, the whole earth will be amazed and follow after him [Revelation 13:3]. If people turn to Jesus Christ as their Savior during this period, they could die for their faith!

Christ said, "Unless those days be cut short, no life will survive." [Matthew 24:22]
